posted in Money Savers |

If you are still using your old land line to make international phone calls then you’re bound to be losing money. There is a revolution taking place at the moment, get on board now while the prices are still right.

What is Internet Telephone?
The idea behind the Internet Telephone is quite simple. It is basically a phone connection that is set up and run through your Internet as opposed to a line that is owned by a telephone company. For this reason the rates are much lower and the savings are much higher.

How much does it cost to make an International call?
Well, here is the great bit, the prices are low. Very low. Over at CallServe.com they quote some of the better phone call prices with their prepaid plan. Here are some of the prices they offer in US Dollars:

Norway $0.04

Germany $0.05
Italy $0.05
Spain $0.05
Switzerland $0.05
United Kingdom $0.05
USA $0.05

What are other advantages of the Internet Phone?
If you have a loved one overseas on holiday or perhaps a son or daughter off at college in a different state then this phone will save you heaps. This concept phone has many advantages that make it far superior to a regular telephone.

For example, the Internet Telephone:

- Is easy to set up and very easy to use;
- Is cheap to set up with no need to buy a 12 month plan or contract like with mobiles;
- Is prepaid so you only pay for calls you make with no hidden costs;
- Only requires an easy to install piece of software and a headset to operate.

I would love to hear from any businesses who have capitalized off of this technology. I haven’t looked at the laws and regulations relating to whether big companies are allowed to use this but it would seem to me that international call centers and other multinational firms could save a lot of money with this one.
